Government of India in consultation with Employees' State Insurance Corporation vide notification no G.S.R. 599(E) had amended rule 61-A of The Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules,1950 where income limit of medical benefit for dependent parents has been increased to 9,000 rupees from earlier limit of 5,000 rupees
